Tuesday - Week 14

6:30am - 1 1/2 hard boiled eggs on whole wheat toast and 1 c. Orange juice 300 cal.

9:00am - 1 protein shake 170 cal

9:45am - WORKOUT Core Conditiong and step/strength class (I forgot to wear my heart rate monitor...almost walked back out the door...so I don't know how much I burned.)

11:30am - Protein shake 300 cal.

3:00 pm - 2 sugar cookies (Nice, I know...after school snack...it was so gloomy today!) 300 cal.

5:30pm - Grilled chicken, 1/2 c. rice, and grilled zucchini 400 cal.

7:30pm - 2 MORE sugar cookies 300 cal.

My total is 1740...but I don't know what I burned today...I bet it was between 400 and 550 cal.

Monday Week 14

8:00am - 2 packets oatmeal 320 cal.

11:30am - 1 chicken salad sancwich and 1 apple 350 cal.

1:30pm - 1/3 of a cheesecake (Totally not my fault...I took my kids to lunch - I know, I know We are not supposed to go out to eat, but we were meeting a friend who was passing through for the day. Anyway, I already fed them lunch and figured it was okay to get them each a dessert. So Reese, Ashlan, and Wyatt order a chocolate sundae and Jay orders a strawberry cheesecake. We get our order and Jay decides he would rather have a chocolate sundae...I was in no mood to argue, especially in front of friends who are passing through...so I get him a chocolate sundae and that poor strawberry cheescake was going to go uneaten. I didn't want to hurt its' feelings, so I ate it. It was SO GOOD!) 400 cal.

2:00pm - WORKOUT I had a training session and then ran for 1/2 hour 750 cal.

3:45pm - Protein shake 300 cal.

6:30pm -2 cups beef stew & 2 slices french bread 650 cal.

TOTAL: 2020 - 750 = 1270 cal.

Wednesday - Week ???

Okay, haven't been very good at updating this blog...but I was weighed in yesterday and had my measurments taken. I lost 1 pound and 2.?% body fat bringing me down to 134lbs and 16.4% body fat!

I only have 13 more weeks until my anniversary...so I still have some ways to go...but I think I can do it. I think not eating out this month is really going to help. I need to start logging all of my food intake again...I think I'll start Monday!

Monday - Week 8

I'm so sorry it's been two weeks since I last posted. I blame it on Christmas. But I have GREAT NEWS!!....I was measured on Christmas Eve, and I lost 4.5% body fat. My measurments were down everywhere. I was so excited, becasue I still felt like I hadn't lost any weight, so I was stressing out about it! I am down to 18.5% body fat. Yeah!! I still have a long way to go, it's going to take complete discipline (food wise) to get me to my goal!

8:00am - 2 Breakfast burritos (Las Palapas) - I am guessing 300-350 cal each. and coke 1000

12:15pm - WORKOUT - I did a class and then ran for 1/2 hour afterwards. 850 cal.

2:00pm - Protein Shake 200 cal.

4:00pm - Caramel Corn (great discipline, huh?!) and some christmas candy 500 cal

5:30pm - 1 tuna fish sandwich and 1/2 bag of cheetos 350 cal.

8:00pm - 2 mini (and when I say mini, I mean mini) ice cream cones (have you seen these cones?, they are the size of my index finger) and some strawberry ice cream. 300 cal.

I need to cut back on the sugar...I think I may have developed diabetes. The numbers are right, but the food is not!

Total: 2350 - 850 = 1500

Monday - Week 6

Okay, okay...I know I haven't been blogging my daily stuff but it's because I have been so busy. Plus I am a little disappointed that I haven't lost anymore weight.

I think I know why and I am ready to get up and running (literally) today. I did weigh intoday and I still remain at 135 lbs. But I will say that some things in my wardrobe are fitting me a little better and a little more loosely, so I can't be too upset.

7:30am - 2 eggs on whole wheat toast, 1 oz. cheese 325 cal.

11:30am - 1 black bean and chicken burrito with picco de gallo and lettuce 600 cal.

Monday - Week 5

I am so sad that I have not lost a single pound...a single ounce this week. I remain at 135 lbs. Possible reasons why...
  1. I am not eating enough calories. This was the case for the last few weeks, and maybe it caught up with me.
  2. I am gaining muscle mass.
  3. Maybe I need more protein...maybe my muscles are not getting any bigger (and therefore burning more calories) becasue I have not given them enough protein to repair itself.
6:30am - Apple Cinnamon Waffle 1 whole wheat waffle (70 cal), covered with 1/2 c. applesauce (50 cal.) and sprinkles with cinnamon and 2 tbsp. chopped walnuts (185 cal) and 1 Danactive yogurt drink (35cal) 340 calories

10:00am - banana 85 cal.

11:00am - WORKOUT - I had a personal training session today. Then I ran for 15 min...I was so weak! 765 cal.

12:30pm - Protein shake 170 cal.

1:30pm - chicken salad sandwich with grapes, apples, and 100 cal. Pringles 500 cal.

My favorite bread


I have a favorite bread. It has a lot more fiber than any other bread (6 g. per slice, and 70 cal.) and you can get in a lot of fiber during the day if you have toast for breakfast, and a sandwich later on. I love it. I found my favorite bread at HEB the other day...in a "mini" loaf. It'll be perfect for me and I won't waste any more moldy, unfinished loaves.

I just thought I would share...if you have a favorite food or snack that is healthy and low calorie...I'd love to hear about it! I'm sure everyone else would too!
